You may also access your account directly at http://email.ssdl.net.

Once logged in, an overview of the email features can be found by selecting "Help" near the top of the page.

Changing your password:

  1. Login to your email account.

  2. Select the "Settings" pull-down menu at the top of the page.

  3. Select "Personal Settings."

  4. Select the "Password" tab.

  5. Enter your current and new password, then click "Okay."

Setting up your account in Microsoft Outlook:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and select the "Tools" pull-down menu. Then select the "Email Accounts" option.

  2. Select "Add a New Email Account." Click "Next."

  3. Select "POP3." Click "Next."

  4. Under "User Information," enter your name and email address (yourname@ssdl.net).

  5. Under "Logon Information," enter your username (yourname@ssdl.net) and password in lowercase letters.

  6. Under "Server Information," enter mail.ssdl.net for incoming mail server (POP3), and smtpout.secureserver.net for outgoing mail server (SMTP).

  7. Click "More Settings." Then select the "Advanced" tab.

  8. Under "Server Port Numbers," enter 110 for incoming server (POP3), and 80 for outgoing server (SMTP). Click "OK."

  9. Click "Test Account Settings" to verify the account is setup properly. When the test is complete, click "Next."

  10. Click "Finish" and your email account setup is complete.

Setting up your account in Microsoft Outlook Express:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express and select the "Tools" pull-down menu. Then select the "Accounts" option.

  2. Select "Add" and then "Mail."

  3. This will open the Internet Connection Wizard. Enter your name. Click "Next."

  4. Enter your email address (yourname@ssdl.net). Click "Next."

  5. Select "POP3" as your incoming mail server. Enter mail.ssdl.net for incoming mail (POP3) server, and smtpout.secureserver.net for outgoing mail (SMTP) server. Click "Next."

  6. Enter your account name (yourname@ssdl.net) and password in lowercase letters. Check the "Remember Password" box. Click "Next." On the next screen, click "Finish."

  7. Open Microsoft Outlook Express again and select the "Tools" pull-down menu. Then select the "Accounts" option.

  8. Select "mail.ssdl.net" and it will become highlighted. Then click "Properties."

  9. Check the "Include this Account when Receiving Mail or Synchronizing" box. Then select the "Servers" tab.

  10. Check the "My Server Requires Authentication" box. Click "OK."

  11. Click "Close" and your email account setup is complete.

  12. Click the "Send/Recv" button and Microsoft Outlook Express will retrieve your email. From now on, your email will automatically be retrieved when you open Microsoft Outlook Express.
